Wemberly Worried!

Today the students had the opportunity to work on a project with their neighbouring grade 1 friends. We read the book Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes, which inspired an art project. The students used the cover of the book for inspiration to use special watercolour pencil crayons to draw and colour circles on a piece of paper. After, they created a Wemberly mouse and glued her on top of the coloured circles. Here are some examples of the finished products:

 Tomorrow, we will follow up the art by adding some writing. What were some things that your child was worried about before entering first grade?
