Students continued with their science unit on The Seasons and Colours. We started by discussing the changes we noticed in nature. Some of the leaves are turning orange, brown, purple, yellow and brown! This inspired some science art. We started with a guided drawing of a leaf. Then the students used their knowledge of patterns to add details in each section of the leaf. Then they coloured with oil pastels in Fall Colours. Tomorrow we will add a 'wet wash' of water colour paint and lots of water. Stay tuned for the final product!
